PCR FAS North East


Our client offers tools and technologies to enable genomic solutions. They are the genomics products and services provider of choice to high profile laboratories of research applications in:


  • Agrigenomics
  • Pharmaceuticals and biotech
  • Academic research
  • Healthcare and diagnostics

Territory:

  • Preferably based in Boston area
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% both Domestically and Internationally

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:


  • Remotely resolve customer and internal staff technical support queries
  • Conduct on-site technical troubleshooting in customer labs
  • Install extraction and genotyping equipment, as well as coordinate the installation process
  • Act as liaison between customers and our laboratory and other internal technical resources
  • Be accustomed to customer-facing roles with a helpful and friendly manner
  • Support the sales organization during the sales process as the primary technical resource
  • Function as the company external ‘face’ through the delivery of on-site customer training, troubleshooting, installation and phone support.
    
Sales & Marketing:


  • Provide feedback, helping to increase applications development
  • Author application notes (and other documents, such as manuals)
  • Possess excellent presentation skills.  The candidate will create and present posters, presentations / brand presentation
  • Build customer relationships by collaborating on papers, arranging testimonials, etc.
  • Conducting technology demonstrations both in customers’ and in Corporate HQ labs to assist sales
  • The candidate will also be a technical liaison to support the commercial organization to increase instrument placements and drive reagent uptake.

Education and Experience:


  • B.S. Degree in a science related field (genomics preferred)
  • 2 years as a FAS including up to 5 years of research or commercial laboratory experience, and has relevant technical experience with the following:         
                PCR / qPCR
                Genomics and SNY P technology product experience is a plus
                Genotyping using a variety of technology platforms
                DNA extraction / purification
                DNA Sequencing
                Troubleshooting experience with the above

Job Requirements:


  • Be an experienced user of Microsoft Office and DNA sequence analysis resources (NCBI, BLAST, etc.)
  • Entrepreneur mentality
  • Must have Green Card or be a US citizen
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record.

Compensation:


  • Base DOE up to $70k plus bonus paid quarterly
  • Car mileage
  • Benefits that include a 401k with a matching percentage.
