Minneapolis based Filtration Sales Rep

Our client seeks a capitol equipment rep to sell filtration systems, consumables and service contracts. This is complex sale with systems selling for ~$2,500-$1million.

  • Systems sell for ~$2,500-$1million

Territory:

  • Minneapolis
  • Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa and northwestern Wisconsin

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Science or Business related fields
  • Background in Life Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in technical and capital equipment sales through direct selling activities to the scientific community
  • Familiarity with laboratory applications and testing to include instrumentation
  • Ability to develop and demonstrate solutions
  • Proven ability to understand and articulate both technical product aspects and product market positioning
  • Familiarity with Clinical Marketing
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

A successful candidate:

  • Can conduct a TECHNICAL sale
  • The ability to conduct a complex sale to multiple call points and closing large contracts is a must
  • Current contacts and a tract record of success is highly desired
  • Prior job stability is important

Responsibilities Include:

  • This is a hunter’s job
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with identified distributors within the territory
  • Maintain a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge in a manner which will add value to our products and services while promoting and maintaining customer allegiance
  • Develop new customers through the use of incoming leads, seminars, trade shows, and referrals from other Account Managers, field service engineers, contract sales, and technical service support
  • Initiate Maintenance Contracts
  • Fully leverage the IT tools made available to include but not limited to SalesForce.com, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Travel:
  • May be up to 50% travel initially, then probably 30% travel.

Compensation:

  • Base $63-80k (some flexibility, DOE)
  • Commission $32k@plan
  • Company car 
  • Excellent benefits
  • Top reps making ~$175k
