Microscopy Field Application Specialist Job #221201

Our Client:

Is a leading manufacturer of:
- High performance imaging analysis equipment including
  - Cameras,
  - Spectrographs
  - Microscopes
Your chance to leave the bench! Become a FAS who will support the Regional Sales reps in achieving the territory sales target, through providing advanced Pre and Post Sales imaging and microscopy application support to facilitate sales.

Territory:

Ideally located in DC, Boston or NYC (large customer base) but any major city in the Mid Atlantic area will work.
- Encompasses the entire East, however a major concentration of business is in the Mid Atlantic region
Expect 50% overnight travel but very flexible, may be home several weeks’ running, for example.

Compensation:

Base $85k-110k, DOE
Commissions/bonus plan of ~$20k annually
Car mileage at government rate (62.5 cents/mile).
All expenses for travel, 4 weeks’ vacation+ 11 Statutory holidays, tuition assistance
Full benefits (401K, medical, dental etc.)

Experience:

Several years’ experienced and competency using fluorescence microscopy and/or confocal microscopy in a research setting OR experience in technical sales involving high-end microscopy imaging products
Outstanding communication skills both verbally and written. Good interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in making technical presentations.
Team-oriented, methodical with attention to detail.
Fluent in all Microsoft Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Education:

B.S. in Scientific Discipline with preference for a post graduate degree and a few years post-doctoral experience.
