Bay or Seattle/Portland Capital Equipment rep  Job #200203 

Our client is an innovative manufacturer and distributor of scientific research tools for the life science market. They seek a rep to cover the Pacific North West and expand their business targeting academic, biotech & pharma accounts.

Territory:

The Pacific NW covering:
  • N.CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, ND and SD. 
  • Based in the Bay or Seattle area or Portland
  • 50% of the time will be spent in San Francisco area, ~30% at Seattle accounts. 

Compensation:
  • Base salary ranges from $70-80 DOE (some flexibility over $80k)
  • Base+ 40k@ plan UNCAPPED          Realistic targets for 2020
  • Commissions paid MONTHLY from $1
  • PLUS Accelerators starting at 51-80% to plan, then 81-100% to plan, then 101-110% to plan, then 110-120% to plan, then .120% to plan)
  • Top reps have made ~$140k,
  • Full benefits, 3 weeks’ vacation,
  • Expenses
  • Car mileage +allowance of ~$400-500/month
 
Education:
  • Must have four-year degree in LIFE SCIENCE
 
Experience:
  • Sales rep with 2 years’ plus life science field sales experience. This sales position sells 80% direct and 20% through distribution networks.
  • Past bench experience very much preferred.
  • 4-10 years’ total experience selling and bench work combined 
 
A successful candidate:
  • Accustomed to cold calling and conducting a complex, technical sale.
  • Has sense of urgency and has a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Must be coachable with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Can identify continuous improvement opportunities, multi-task in a demanding environment
  • Must have excellent negotiation skills to close sales and the ability to speak technically to the customers
  • Must possess and maintain a current Passport
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record.
