Midwest Genomics Sales Specialist
Our client offers tools and technologies to enable genomic solutions both for our customers and for use in our own genomics service labs. They are the genomics products and services provider of choice to high profile laboratories of research applications in:
- Agrigenomics
- Pharmaceuticals and biotech
- Academic research
- Healthcare and diagnostics
Responsibilities:
- To meet sales targets for the company products and services
- To actively seek new business opportunities through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling, email, and networking.
- To provide marketing feedback from account visits to include general economic, product, and competitive information.
- To maintain Salesforce.com CRM database effectively.
- Attends tradeshows as requested.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in a science related field (genomics preferred)
- 5 + years field sales experience managing a large territory
- Sales experience with capital equipment and consumables/services
- Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
- Entrepreneur mentality – must be self-motivated and have built a territory from the bottom up
- Must be hungry, keen to knock down doors!
- Must have Green Card or be a US citizen
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record.
Income potential:
- Base DOE, $80-90K (flexible) +40% @ plan.
- Commissions paid quarterly, with accelerator commissions at 101-115% of plan
- Car allowance ($650/m), gas
- Benefits that include a 401k with a matching percentage.
- Top performers can make ~$160k
