Our client, a leader of genotyping services, seeks a remote based Software Sales Manager, located in any major city in the US. The role is to promote the use of Animal Management Software.
Product Line:
- Software platforms for animal management. Qualified leads will provided but this is a hunter’s role to source & convert business in biotech, pharma and academic labs.
Territory:
- Based in any major city in the US
- Covering the US & Global clients
- Expect 25% travel
Compensation:
- Base salary $100k-$140k, DOE + $25k commission guarantee first year
- Variable comp of ~$10k/sale, uncapped, paid when P.O. is signed
- Mileage and expenses when customers
- Full benefits and 401K
Education:
- MS or PhD preferred
Requirements:
- 5-8 years’ software sales in life science arena, preferably with Animal Management software.
- Must have life science sales experience, strong software sales experience.
- Able to sell software valued at $50k- $100k+ and able to manager long sales cycles
- Relationship builder and maintainer, capable of upselling new product features & add-ons.
- Take ownership of the process from lead generation, product demonstration, price proposal & negotiations and contract closure.
Work with reps, business development managers and distributors in the territories. - Must be well organized, multi-tasker.
- Prepare budgets, sales forecasting, define relevant meetings and trade shows.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record, be a US citizen or Permanent Resident of the US.
- A background check will be conducted before hire.
