The Key Account Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies resulting in profitable growth through increased penetration of strategic global key accounts involving:
- Biomarker, cell based and pharmacokinetic (PK) assays
- Custom services related to these assays
Territory:
Responsible as Key Accounts Manager of strategic global accounts in these regions:
- Midwest Region
- Central Region
- Northeast Region
- Mid-Atlantic Region
- Based in:
- Chicago metro area (preferred)
- Indianapolis metro area (preferred)
- Boston metro area (preferred)
- Washington DC metro area (preferred)
- Philadelphia metro area (preferred)
- New York metro area
- Kansas City metro area
- New Jersey metro area
- Expect 50% travel
Compensation:
- Base $115-140k, some flexibility DOE
- Plus variable comp of $100k, uncapped, commissions paid quarterly
- Mileage as per IRS regulations
- All expenses
- Full benefits including:
- 401K match of 4% on a participant contribution of 5%
- 4 weeks vacation plus:
- 10 Statutory Holidays
- Two floating days
- The KAM's goal is to position our client as the pharma company's preferred service provider/partner.
- This role is a key position to support our strategy for long term profitable growth.
- Demonstrates leadership and ability to develop sound strategies in-line with company goals
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of the market and prepares and delivers on account plans based on market knowledge
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Ensures pricing and long-term Agreement formation
- Creates and maintains relationship with the senior key executives of top pharmaceutical companies
- Critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data to prepare and execute effective sales strategies
- Proactively communicates with Sales Management and home office/Customer Service teams
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology) or business administration
- Full knowledge of large molecule bioanalytical services and market
- Strong technical background
- Not less than 10 years of sales leadership, account management, or related industry experience
Skills:
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing strategic plans
- Proven ability to work in a matrix organization
- Experience using a CRM is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
Requirements:
- Must have Green Card or be a US citizen
- Must possess and maintain a current Passport
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record.
