Our client is a dynamic young, privately held company that has developed a proprietary microfluidic dispensing technology. High throughput Digital PCR platform completes their product mix. They seek a Director of Sales or a National Sales Manager + a Vice President of Sales (Global), The VPS MUST be based in Boston.

Life Science Director of Sales or NSM + VPS
Our client is a dynamic young, privately held company that has developed a proprietary microfluidic dispensing technology. High throughput Digital PCR platform completes their product mix. They seek a Director of Sales or a National Sales Manager + a Vice President of Sales (Global), The VPS MUST be based in Boston.

Compensation:
- DOE, base $125k-160k
- + variable comp of annual $70k-90k @ plan, commissions paid quarterly, uncapped
- Profit sharing, paid year end
- Full benefits including 401k
- Matching at 6%.
- BS Life Science
- PhD in Life Sciences is preferred
Director of Sales and/or National Sales Manager:
- The Sales manager – North America will be responsible for managing and driving profitable business growth in the US.
- Will work closely with the President, marketing managers, product managers, and support team to develop strategies, tactics, and sales plans to meet or exceed our annual instrumentation, consumable, and maintenance sales goals.
- Currently to manage 5 sales reps across nationally, will be expanding to 8 reps.
- Responsible for providing accurate sales forecasts for manufacturing build plans and financial reporting.
- Responsible for developing an overall US market strategy with an emphasis on liquid handling for sample preparation in genomics and drug discovery research.
- Pivotal responsibilities in shaping the strategic market development and sales structure for the Digital PCR Product Line.
- Manage headcount and other budgeted expense/revenue plans to improve overall profitability while driving growth
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years successfully building and managing a team of sales representatives
- Experience selling capital equipment
- Strong pipeline and activity analysis skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD in Life Sciences
- 5 years managing sales teams selling capital equipment in the Life Sciences space
- Broad industry knowledge of liquid handling, genomics, and drug discovery workflows
Legal Requirements:

- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle driving record.
